Le Chocolat Cafe

Remember my post about PS Cafe? the latter part. I talked about indulging with what this awesome cafe has to offer! The cafe itself is kinda hard to miss with its white walls and even the furniture are white washed! kinda like the one you see in movies where a psycho patient is held, but of course that's just my wild imagination running.

First stop is the terra cotta, doesn't sound appetizing isn't it? well i don't know why they named it after baked earth but it tastes kinda good. Not out-of-this-world good but still good after munching down with what PS Cafe served.

It has the consistency of a panna cotta, not too sweet and not too creamy. Well it looks good but wasn't really my idea of dessert, The texture is just smooth, like eating melted down ice cream. Maybe they named it terra cotta because of the color of the chocolate powder? What'ya think?

Price 8 SGD

Their version of tiramisu, between the terra cotta and this. This one takes the cake, literally, its like cake. My idea of a tiramisu involves coffee soaked ladyfingers, but their version doesn't have any. A layer of chocolate mousse on top, then cake, then the mixture of mascarpone cheese, sugar and eggs. The bottom part tho is coffee flavored wafers. Still a tiramisu but not the traditional one.

P.S. Cafe

Great food and superb ambiance? Then P.S. Cafe it is! one thing tho. It is very expensive but worth it.

P.S. Cafe's Crispy Onion Burger, a whopping 1/3 pound wagyu beef pattie topped with melted mozzarella cheese, sauteed mushrooms and as the name says it, spiced crispy onion. Sided with a not-so-generous serving of fries.
The burger is ok, you cant really appreciate the tenderness of wagyu beef if its a burger patty already, the mild saltiness of the melted mozzarella contrasts the spice of the crispy onion but you can still taste their individual flavors.

Price: 29 SGD

My brother ordered the PS Steak Sandwich, steak chips on char grilled sourdough sided with nori seasoned shoestring fries. He ordered it medium well but only some parts has the "slight hint of pink" you look for in terms of doneness. Most of the steak chips was served well done, we didn't argue tho. We're starving! :)

Price: 30 SGD

Make sure you still have room for dessert because Le Chocolat Cafe is right across PS Cafe's Location.

Great food, great ambiance, good service. Two thumbs up for me :) Be sure to try out P.S Cafe next time your in Singapore. Watch out for my next post as we indulge ourselves with what le chocolat cafe has to offer!

The Temples of Angkor

The temples of Angkor are located amid forests and farmland, around 20 min from Seam Reap via tuk tuk, a local mode of transportation that consists of a motorcycle and a carriage. There is an entrance fee of $20 for a day's pass to all the temples in Angkor starting from 5 a.m until 5 p.m.

The tuk tuk is the main mode of transportation to go around the city, they charge from $3 up to $5 depending on the time and distance of your destination. When going to the temples you will need to charter a tuk tuk for $15 for half a day, and they will also stand as your tour guide during the trip.

That ladies and gentlemen, is not a tuk tuk driver. That is my brother, an aspiring photographer and will go great lengths to capture that picture perfect shot.

We are slackers, we wake up early afternoon or after lunch but for the sake of capturing a sunrise shot in Angkor Wat, our asses are up as early as 4 a.m. While my brother is inside the temple taking pictures, i didn't miss out on continuing my sleep, he came back and saw me like this.

This is the picture he took from Angkor Wat, the most famous and the biggest of the temples. It's really a magnificent site, I suggest you visit this one first because after a while you will get the thing they call temple burn out. After temple hopping the whole day, everything will look like the same.

Looks familiar? this scene appeared in the movie The Tomb Raider, the temple is called Ta Prohm it has many other trees growing inside and roots running through the floor. Nature really finds its way to survive

Before you leave your hotel remember to bring lots of water, an extra shirt and a face towel.

Happy Special Pizza

A bottle of beer and a scrumptious looking pizza, seems like the perfect way to start the night in seam reap. But it's not just an ordinary seafood margarita pizza. It's a HAPPY seafood margarita pizza.

A local restaurant located in Hospital St. Seam Reap parallel to Pub Street serves this amazing pizza dish. The parlor is an open air establishment with around 7 tables open to tourists and locals who wants to have their fair share of happiness to kick start the night before chugging down a couple of drinks at Pub Street, the place to be where anything and everything can happen. So why is it called a happy pizza? see the black spots on top? pesto? NO! that's actually cannabis topped on your pizza :D

After you make your choices on toppings, tell the server to "make it happy" hell, tell him to "make it extra happy" and don't forget to order a bottle of beer to go with your food, its the perfect way to jump start a night full of adventures in the wonderful Kingdom Of Cambodia
